Round 1 choice filling is open from 20 to 22 July 2026. Save and confirm your list well before the deadline on 22 July - don't gamble on last-hour server load. Allotment results follow on 24-26 July.
Fill as many as you sensibly can - up to 100. The allotment engine walks your list top-down and stops at the first choice your rank secures, so a long list never hurts you, but a short list can leave you unallotted.
Order by your genuine preference within three bands: reach (closed 5-15 marks above your cutoff), target (within about 5 marks), safe (10-20+ marks below). Reach on top costs nothing; safeties you'd actually join at the bottom.
If allotted, you accept (confirm and join or opt for upward movement in later rounds per the official rules) - check tneaonline.org for your exact reporting steps and dates. If not allotted, you participate in Round 2 (early August).
Choices lock when Round 1 filling closes on 22 July. For later rounds you get a fresh choice-filling window - use what you learned from your Round 1 result and the cutoff trends.
